Amber Charmei grew up in the art world of TriBeCa and SoHo, then studied Art History at Smith College and Architectural History at the University of Hamburg and the City University of New York. After a decade of running a record label for Hardcore, Punk, and Noise in NYC, she moved to Greece.
She now divides her time between seaside Thessaloniki and downtown Athens and writes on art, culture, and destinations, uniting historical context with fresh, experiential detail.
In addition to writing many magazine pieces and blogging, Amber is a frequent contributor to the Doring Kindersley DK Eyewitness Guides and Top 10 guides, as well as to Lonely Planet’s Experience Greece.
